Review on Tecsun Indoor Active Radio Antenna by Jeff Westra

This is Tecsun's first active loop antenna covering long, medium and shortwave. After all these years they have made many portable radios with LW, MW, SW but still not with an active loop antenna. This antenna works great on the MW and SW bands, but since there are no local LW stations here, the antenna works best on the LW bands when signals are present there. As for the MW band, the antenna works very well and picks up local stations poorly at night, especially on 1400 kHz, while other loops simply pass these weak signals. The shortwave bands work very well with this loop antenna with the PL-880 receiver with no problems. Antenna looks good. There is a small red LED light and the handles look like they were in the 80's and 90's. Requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included. It also includes other adapters not found in other active loop antennas that have a 1/8" stereo plug that plugs into a BNC connector.
