Tecsun's first active loop antenna with outstanding performance

This is Tecsun's first active loop antenna covering long, medium and short waves. After all these years they have made many portable radios with LW, MW, SW but still not with an active loop antenna. This antenna works well on the MW and SW bands, but as there are no local LW stations here, the antenna works best on the LW bands when signals are present. As for the MW band, the antenna works very well and picks up local stations poorly at night, especially on 1400 kHz, while other loops simply…

Works primarily with antennas

This is a nice little receiving antenna. It is very portable, albeit thin. I connected it to the receive antenna port on my Icom IC-7610 transceiver (good thing the antenna comes with a BNC adapter). I couldn't hear the woofers because there aren't any. I didn't hear any HF stations either, probably due to the time of day and the state of the ionosphere. He worked in the band AM (MF). He received weak stations without overloading on strong local stations. I found that it was possible to cancel…

Works but little to no improvement in my location.

I bought this active antenna to use with my Tecsun PL880 short wave radio. I installed it in the window of my apartment. It's in the city, in a concrete and brick building. I didn't think it would improve my reception over a standard long wire antenna. And it seems to add extra noise. Turning the amplifier gain control to the "+" position resulted in some improvement in the signal. Turning the antenna tuning knob made little difference, at least on the stations I was able to connect. The…
