Review on πŸ”Œ Tripp Lite 2-Port USB HDMI Cable KVM Switch with Audio/Video, Cables & USB Peripheral Sharing - 1920 x 1200, 1080p (B032-HUA2), Black by Travis Petty

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This KVM has a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 (matches my monitor).

Tripp Lite 2 Port USB HDMI Cable KVM Switch with Shared AV, Cables & USB Peripherals 1920x1200, 1080p (B032-HUA2) B The listing is the one I bought after Revain bundling of products who they think are similar (which they often are not). This KVM did what I wanted, which was to share just one monitor, wired keyboard, and wired mouse. I don't share audio, use a USB hub and don't use keyboard shortcuts (maybe later). The block was installed and started with just one movement. At first my mouse didn't work. The user guide mentioned mouse emulation mode but didn't really explain what they meant. It's on by default so I turned it off and my mouse started working. I really like that KVM automatically switches to another computer when you turn off the computer you were working on. I had to laugh at myself because my old KVM couldn't do it and I kept going back to a powered down computer the first few times. KVM is also intelligent enough to forward monitor, keyboard and mouse information to connected computers. My old one didn't work so they always worked on generic drivers.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Is there anything I can add?
