Review on Waterproof Plastic Tarpaulin Grommets Inches Hardware by Jim Plump

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Update: Rating changed from 5 stars to 2 stars. Rotted after 18 months

Update: So I've been using this tarp for 18 months (bought June 2020, now it's December 2021) . I originally gave them a 5 star rating but downgraded it to 2 because here's my problem: both are rotten and split in various places on the tarp. They were often taken off and put back on (one was used on a swing set and the other on a lawn mower), but they became completely straightened in use. I live in Tennessee so yes we have all 4 seasons but the winter is pretty mild so probably the worst wear and tear was from the sun but they should be as the ad says "waterproof. Weatherproof, tear-resistant - UV-resistant. To be honest they are really waterproof; but in my opinion they are not weather, tear or UV resistant. I know they were reasonably priced but I'm a bit disappointed that I didn't get more wear and tear from them. First Review: So I bought 2 packs and found them very cheap. I use one to cover swings with cloth/pad seats to keep them from weathering/breaking/moulding etc. The tarp is definitely waterproof and has withstood the spring of fairly heavy rain and then more hot sun so far. Another tarp I wanted to use under our pool but we were having some trouble with the pool so I currently use this to throw over our lawn tractor to protect the deck from the weather and that works well too. I didn't knot any of them, so I can't say anything about the durability of the eyelets. But the price of these tarpaulins, the decent thickness and the fact that they are waterproof made me happy.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine
