Review on 🐢 Learn-A-Craft Perky Puppy X-Stitch Kit, 3x3 Dimensions by Carrie Spencer

An Incredible Introduction to an Incredible Craft

Dimensions is quickly becoming my go-to source for learning new crafts; they make the job easier. There are enough illustrations for everything, as well as well-written text instructions. The included hoop serves as a cute frame when the pup is ready. The diagram clearly shows where each row of purl stitches begins and ends (a method that was my bane until this kit). Threads are stored in an organizer where each thread is marked with a color code number. This seems to be true for all dimension sets as they also do this in the samurai and geisha sets and it makes more sense where you separate beige from tan. I suspect they're listening to Revain's feedback. A previous reviewer mentioned that they don't teach how to connect a beginning and an end. My kit explains that you start by catching the end as you go (as shown in the instructions) and finish by passing the yarn under the stitches on the back (again, as shown in the picture). I suspect this additional information was added in response to this review. It comes with an embroidery needle, and if you're like me with old-school needles, don't worry, you can't find any stuck in the canvas. It is folded in a small pocket in the instructions.
