Excellent fully effective deodorant. Even though it's expensive, I'll keep using it. As for the plastic sleeve of the cardboard tube, I think the manufacturer considered it necessary to keep this natural product from evaporating during the expiry date. I would recommend replacing the plastic with a wax paper sleeve that folds over the tube and secures with a paper sticker. Listerine bottles used to be wrapped in paper in this way. I don't give the product any stars for this, but I think it's important that they work because so many of us are working hard to eliminate plastic from our lives. All the first deodorant sticks were packaged like this, so I didn't have to learn it. I'm just starting my first tube so I don't know how the box will hold up. But it's solid and seems to have a good weight, so I have no reason to think it will fail. I switched to Black Lavender after years of using the old pure zinc oxide ointment as a deodorant cream, which is sticky but fully effective. . So my unshaven armpits were already stripped of aluminum-based deodorants and antiperspirants. I would caution those who are making the direct switch from aluminum products that you will initially feel sweaty until your poorly deposited sweat glands fail to recover from years of abuse. After using this deodorant for a while, you will find that the sweating will go away. To avoid over-application, be sure to follow directions: just swipe a few times, then rub in. Your goal is to barely feel (let alone see) the presence of deodorant on your skin after rubbing it in. If you see that in the mirror then you are wearing too much. I'm a tall woman and my armpit is about the size of my body. However, two smacks to my massive armpits are enough. I find Black Lavender, the only scent I've tried, to be fully effective throughout the day. I haven't tried it in a few days. The lavender scent is initially very pleasant and strong. But then it settles down and I don't smell like I've been wearing lavender perfume all day. However, at the end of the day, the direct scent shows that the light pleasant scent of lavender lingers. Highly recommended as a product, but the packaging needs an overhaul.
