I'm not sure about the handle but 99% of the time I didn't buy it for that reason. Bluetooth connected immediately. The sound is loud and the quality is excellent. The control buttons are a bit wonky if you want to do something other than Bluetooth with them, but with a little trial and error finding Weather and Radio isn't too hard. Charging your phone through the device is very convenient. We had a golf cart party a few weeks ago and I was able to connect Bluetooth through the radio and connect decorative USB lights to the radio and it lasted 4 hours. I walked in front of this radio. Highly recommended.
