Review on Perfect Bicycle Accessories Mountain Trailer by Juston Alonso

Poor camera clamp - very poor image quality

I really wanted this thing to work. I ride mixed terrain - rough paved roads and a few groomed trails. Both positive and negative reviews were not very accurate - either all is good or all is bad. My conclusion after today's first application is that it works quite well in almost all areas, but is not enough for me. The positives: I can see the monitor pretty well in daylight. I have a handlebar extension and it works well with my smartphone running a cycling app. The screen mount handles bumps well; He giggles, but doesn't slip, fall, or disengage from the clamp. The clamps are strong too. The camera angle is ok. Cons: I found that the camera clip only attaches to the seatpost, so my saddlebag had to be removed. It is also not compatible with my tail bag. I've been working like crazy to find another spot on the frame to mount it to no avail. The camera clamp is designed to work in one direction only. It would be great if I could detach the camera from the clamp so I can attach it to my tripod like a tail light. I think the monitor uses 1990's TFT laptop screen technology. It's bright enough but lacks contrast, washing out all the colors. Example: seeing parked cars on the monitor while driving past gives a false sense of security because I heard a car approaching behind me at 50 km/h before I could see it clearly on the screen and there it was he's already circling me. .Good solution for the money if it works but it doesn't work for me.
