I have had 2 RVs based on Ford E450 chassis with V10 petrol engine. The engine hut on both of these motorhomes came factory fitted with a thin layer of sound and heat insulation material and in both cases the hut itself and the adjacent floor area became uncomfortably warm. This was particularly noticeable on the passenger side. I used Dynaliner alone after removing the factory material and cleaning the surface. The contoured kennel made it difficult to apply cleanly and seamlessly, so I just looked at the pieces to make sure they fit. To solve the problem of sealing contours I applied 2 or even 3 coats by simply gluing the dynaliner onto itself. In both cases I used the entire roll of Dynaliner and in each case we were delighted with the reduction in heat transfer inwards. We agree that there was some noise reduction in every case, but noise reduction wasn't our primary goal.
