Review on Men's Razor Blade Sharpener - RazorPit, Black: Enhance Razor Blade Longevity by Michael Alves

I wasn't sure what to expect from so many reviews on this device. Admittedly, many of the reviews that interested me were positive. So I bought it. WOW! To be honest I'm amazed. It really works. I'm a retired engineer and now I only shave every other day. But in a month of using the RazorPit, I got about 15 great shaves from a single refill of the Schick Quattro Titanium cartridge. Now there is one thing. I've found that using the RazorPit to change the pitch (angle) of the blades is entirely understandable. Their blades don't quite have the "bite" they got from the factory. That doesn't mean they don't shave closely or very well. You'll need to repeat a few strokes and press a little harder to replicate the feel of a clean/factory shave. At least that's what I found when using RazorPit. Each brand, such as Gillette, sets the blade position and spacing of their cartridges slightly differently than the other manufacturer. Factory Gillette Mach 3 cartridges are more like a quattro spot sharpening of the blade pitch - a few more degrees of angle. This is why I prefer Quattro over Gillette because I need fewer strokes for a close shave. So I added a few more touches for the same shave as the original factory Quattro, but I've already saved $6 or $9 on 2 or 3 cartridges I didn't have to buy! I do a few more shots each day to save the money each month.
