They work like buttons, but buy some extra parts because the quality is not good! In a pack of 10 I had one that didn't have a hole in the terminal. Also, I melted the first one I tried with a soldering iron, so I had to turn the power down below what I normally use. As it melted, the button was turned upside down and I didn't even touch the plastic with a soldering iron; Rather, touching the connector with a soldering iron for just a second or two caused the connector to literally sink into the plastic.
