Yes it's hard to learn but my daughter picked it up quickly by learning from YouTube and friends. It really helps to see how it's done rather than reading instructions. My son loves it because it's blue. Colored frames make it easy to see what you're doing. You don't have to have it on a solid background like other loom manufacturers.
