In short, my experience with the product was mediocre and I expected better quality from Master Lock. This was my first dubious purchase of a product from them. I just ordered three of them. Two were new items and the third was from the Revain warehouse, which cost a few dollars less. The stock transaction lock was fine. It was opened but all the packaging was sent with a lock. The lock had a few scratches and the reset key was missing. That would be a disappointment if I didn't receive two more new locks at the same time along with their own reset keys. Using one of those keys it reset and worked fine. The first new lock I opened to reset the combination had some issues. The lock turned out to be very tight, since there was no fat and garbage inside the lock. The flimsy little reset key was actually twisted and stuck in the lock. The lock does nothing but hold the paper with the reset key stuck inside. I switched to another new lock with its reset key and all went well. I almost packed the first one to send back for a refund but figured it was going to be someone else's stock deal and didn't want to be a burden on them. So I decided to drill out the rest of the reset key with an 1/8" bit. It took a few iterations to get it all out, scraping the lock around the reset hole, but eventually I got it. I cleaned and oiled the lock as best I could and put my only remaining reset key in it, and it worked fine after that.
