Don't buy: keyed padlocks

I don't recommend it, I'm wasting my money, I only used it 3 or 4 times before it broke. Yes it's broken, something inside just isn't right, even I can't get the key out. Sorry I was angry that day and don't take photos or videos to show.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • boring packaging

Not Secure: Keyed Padlocks

If you need real security, be sure to use a different lock. I bought this lock with the intention of picking it for fun, but I didn't expect it to be so shockingly easy to pick. Please, if you really want to keep things secure, buy another lock. If someone really wanted to climb into something "protected" by this castle, they would surely climb.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Not Secure

Complete bullshit: Hardware

Concluded that Masterlock products are garbage now. They used to be the best, now they don't even work out of the box. This lock came, put the key in, and the key got stuck, and the bolt just fell into the case. This is the third master product I have purchased in the past year that failed immediately. I will look for other manufacturers in the future

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • No instructions

DO NOT BUY - Padlocks & Latches

I bought two of these. One of them was defective. The key didn't come out. Got a replacement very quickly, but the same thing happened. The key got stuck in the lock on the first turn. I wish I could give no stars. I will never buy a master lock again if this is the type of craftsmanship currently used in their locks. I have several old master locks that are still in use.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Clarity

Good lock, narrow opening

The new lock is difficult to turn, the sliding cover is very tight which is good but depending on how the lock is hanging it can be difficult to lift up and down, if you don't have strong fingers. You open the latch by turning the key, you have to lift it and give it some space to move freely. I love the lock's features and would buy it again, but if you open and close it every day you might want to try something different. I use it for temporary storage and only open once a week or less.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

DO NOT BUY! in padlocks and deadbolts

Wasn't Master Lock the gold standard for padlocks? I hope that was a mistake on their design and production team. I was able to unlock it and remove it from the graphics card, but luckily when I got it to my trailer I decided to insert the key and turn it before inserting it into the clutch latch. I say lucky because she immediately grabbed my hand. The key didn't turn. I couldn't get the key out of the lock. I should have read the reviews and not believed in Master Lock.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Nothing here

No questions! while it works fine.

Put them in the shipping container, no problem so far. They're "tight," but that's probably a good thing since they don't have any sag or slack. This is the second time I have bought a kit - the previous kit was on my gooseneck trailer, locked up and never had a problem. This kit has been in the container for a few weeks despite some weather and is still working well. I like the sliding key slot cover to keep dirt/dirt out of the lock. Will update if anything changes but for now I can recommend

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Only available in black

SECURITY FAILURE: opens WITHOUT a key. See video.

Watch the video: THE LOCK CAN BE UNLOCKED WITH THE KEY ONLY HALF-INSERTED. There were a few instances where it could be opened WITHOUT A KEY, simply by shaking the lock and pressing the shackle. Inserting and removing the key was rough and sticky at times. I trust that lock will stay locked when I need it. It was pretty unreliable so I was afraid it wouldn't open when I need it and I might get blocked. The lock was returned for a refund. I bought an ABUS disc lock for double the price but it…

  • Great for me

Terrible Terrible Terrible

I bought a set of 2 locks for a shipping container. I read great reviews about this product and I thought I made the right choice. I was wrong. So what's the problem with these locks? Starting construction is much cheaper. It looks and feels like cheap metal, not what you'd expect from a padlock meant to protect your belongings. Second, they BOTH block when you open them. Less than 5 minutes out of the box, key in, it works fine. Put the key in the second one and the cheap design bar gets stuck

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
