UPDATE: I bought this in September 2021. It's December 2021 and today it's not working anymore. I see many other reviews with this experience. I suppose if you need a plasma ball that will run for a month this might be for you, but if you need it to run for a while this probably isn't the case. I checked the AC output. Adapter and it was 11.7 volts and I haven't touched the switch since installing it but moving it to OFF, ON or AUDIO doesn't change anything. And as others have mentioned, the return period is long gone and I don't see any warranty info, so I think I learned a lesson from that. :(FIRST CHECK: In the last few weeks I've arrived at the end of a 4.5 year procrastination phase and have been cleaning up/organizing my home office. One of the results of this new phase is that I'm finding ways to (again) add fun ones to my office Adding things like my old dusty lava lamp. When I found a place for it (and replaced its blown bulb) I realized I had wanted a plasma ball for a long time and never thought I had a place for it in my old cluttered office Well, it's a new day in andy's office and now that i have room for a plasma ball let's do it! reviews (although im a little concerned about that $#!^^ on mine) so i bought it.It came today (a few days later) and i was happy with the air seal but when i pulled on it the bullet fell to the bottom of the box it didnt seem to hurt anything but it looked silly anyway i pocketed it it in and d got really nice purple plasma tentacles in the globe and turn green. Touching the globe did what it was supposed to do (many tentacles came close to my fingers and I didn't feel any shock/tingling/buzzing or anything to tell me something was wrong. I plugged it into a smart power strip so would it and my lava lamp light up a bit before I start work and then go out when I finish I'm happy and hope it has a long life but hey at a small price I paid for it], even if he dies in a year or two i will most likely buy another one as i find it very funny.
