Put it on an E46 (03' BMW 325XI). You need a hex wrench to hold the shock and tighten the top bolt or it just spins, also I found that there wasn't enough room for all the original washers and rubber washers with KYB SB 107 - strut boot and Sachs shock mount. So I took out a small piece of the original shock mount. It works great, my shock was completely removed. Also, I'm still building a 13 year old car so I'm not putting a lot of money into it so I only did one side. The steering wheel is no longer perfectly aligned after only one side is worked, the car does not pull left or right, but the wheel does not sit straight when the car goes straight.
