Do not recommend this product. I definitely got what I paid for with this product. I used it to make a few small batches of candy when I first got it and then cleaned and repackaged it for a couple of months. I was about to make a few batches again as the holiday was approaching and after an hour on the lower setting to keep the chocolate liquid while my first batch cooled I went to get the pot out and the ring started to crack . half. It looks like it was held together with silicone glue and started cracking from the heat of the pot. The ring really needs a redesign, either a couple of screws to hold it together or a twist lock design.
