Big bells helped my pup potty train

My pup was really starting to potty train himself but he didn't have a good way of telling us he needed to go outside. I decided to try bells. Went like clockwork. These bells are quite big and loud. I hear them on another floor in my house. My pup was scared of them at first but I took the time to get him to sit comfortably. I put them on the ground first, and every time he came to inspect them, I would reward him (said "good boy"! and gave him a treat). Soon he touched the bell (and bounced back) and I just kept rewarding him. He got a little less anxious, so I hung the bell on the door and sat next to him. And every time he touched her, I rewarded him. (It was probably 30-45 minutes total. Over the following days he became less and less afraid of loud noises). We spent the rest of the day banging the potty bells and he figured it out quickly. (There are some great videos on the internet with bell training tips) It's been 3 weeks and not a single accident. For reference, my pup was 13 weeks old when we got the bells and started training. The bells and the nylon strap they attach to like a dog leash appear to be of good quality. It's quite long, but it doesn't cause any problems. My pup is currently using the lowest set. I have no problem with that, I took it off the doorknob. This is a busy entrance and I didn't want to embarrass the pup. Instead, I hung them on the wall by the door. Works perfectly.
