Review on 🐱 CATSTAG Type C Litter Scoop: Solid Scoop for Kitty Litter Box with Sifter Scooper, Long Handle, and Deep Shovel by Tamara Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like it. It turned me into a scavenger.

My mother got a new kitten. She's not that new anymore because she's getting older. Mom put out cat toys and a tray. The only thing missing was a shovel. So she bought a metal shovel. Perhaps the brand name is related to the filler she used. It was a good shovel, but the area used to filter out the waste particles from the waste was too large. Great for big, controlled clumps, but not for those extra particles you really want to capture for a deeper clean. I was looking for a shovel with the right size filter holes. I encountered a few scoops and a few negative reviews before encountering this scoop. I reviewed the design and then the demo video. Visually convinced of the purchase. The next thing I worried about was will it work as shown in the picture? After waiting about a week and a half we finally got it and it works great. I haven't had a chance to try it, but my mom told me it works great. After trying it and seeing it for myself, I was very satisfied. I could pick up the larger clumps, throw them away, and then come back and catch and filter out the smaller pieces. The dustpan holds small debris particles in place fairly well, allowing smaller debris to be released. Even if you sift holes, you can use it to collect the right amount of waste. Sometimes a few smaller particles stick, but a few hits will knock them out. That's good as the filtration is good enough to keep the waste particles you want to stay in, but not such a problem if they come back or the areas are too small that you can't sift anything at all. The handle is not too big. The material is a very hard PVC material. It has a good grip, so it has some weight. It's not too heavy, but doesn't feel cheap either. It also comes with a loop and sticky hook so you can hang the shovel. It would be nice if this spoon came in different colors. But the available colors are more appropriate. It would be nice if this shovel was also made of metal. I could see that the price range matches, but this shovel is not made here. Which explains its price. So for me, this scoop is less than $10 including S&H. So now we have 3 scoops, but that's because mom couldn't wait to find something for better filtration. However, I found the best of the 3rd benefits: Does the job. Gentle on the hands. Ergonomic. Recommend. Cons: Price range. However, this can be overlooked depending on what some are looking to spend.
