This has worked very well in my small church. a projector in a dorm (over 200ft CAT6 but I'm sure CAT5e will work just as well). I've tried connecting directly between extenders as well as through a LAN network switch and it seems to work equally well either way. I didn't have to configure anything to connect them via LAN. I take audio from the sanctuary mixer and send it to the camcorder's mic input, then use the camcorder's HDMI output to feed it into the extension cable's HDMI input. I didn't want to transmit audio and video through separate cables and still needed good sound on the recorded video, so I tried this model with an audio extractor. projector in the meeting room and feed sound into the sound system via the audio output of the repeater.
