I bought this dehydrator to prepare meals for an 8 day hike. The gardener is amazing. Its design is much better than the Snackmaster. Air is distributed more evenly throughout the machine, drying food quickly and efficiently. The temperature display is a great feature. I have dried: bananas, mangoes, strawberries, pineapples, apples, spaghetti sauce, curry sauces, ground beef, corn, carrots and peas. The street food was amazing! Much better than industrially prepared bag food. If you are a tourist then this dehydrator is for you. Don't mess around with smaller machines, they just do more work for you. And this one comes with all the dry sauce and fruit skin shells.
