I bought this to attach to a cordless drill for plumb vertical drilling and it does the job. This drill had a horizontal plane, but I tend to use it for vertical holes. I originally gave it 4 stars for accuracy, but it deserves 5 stars for application and size. There are new drill bits with liquid crystal level that shows both horizontal and vertical and even distance and depth, the cost is much, much more than the extra ones, less than $10, three levels and still only drill holes except my drill works still great.
