I've done some online comparisons between this and other similar products so I can't speak to the actual quality of the competition but this product has made me very happy and satisfied. You plug it in and it offers a stunning, beautiful and soothing experience that can take up an entire room, even one as large as my living room, which is about 27 feet by 14 feet. Check out my video for a pretty thorough overview, but I forgot to show or mention a few things. First, the video only shows the projector at full brightness, which is very bright in a dark room with little to no light from the windows. In daylight, you may not notice the effects at all. Again, in a very dark room, turning the brightness down to the lowest level will reduce eye strain, especially while sleeping. The brightness control controls the brightness of the aurora and the stars at the same time, so they cannot be adjusted separately. I assume that if you buy this you will probably still be using it in a dark room. Second, it also has 2 timer functions - 1 hour and 2 hours. A short press of the button causes the projector to flash brightly and beep to indicate it is installed. Works as expected - after the set time, the light and sound turn off. Anyway I highly recommend this product and have shared my experience with some family and friends and they all said they now want it too.
