Good for oven and grill. Grate level temperature.
Loved that I could read through all the smoke in my grill. Used it to make sure my other temp gauges were accurate. Just put it on the grid. I looked at the outside temperature sensor, lifted the cover, compared. The difference should be within 10-20 degrees.
