Many air conditioning repairmen and others have advised me to use these cheap filters. You know what I'm talking about, green filters. For as many years as I have been living on this earth and my many years of experience that I am going to share with you today is not to use these green filters in your air conditioner because I will tell you why. had to replace my entire air conditioner, heat pump and internal air filter. I know from experience what those cheap green filters do to your air conditioner. Yes, they provide much more airflow through your system, optimizing your home's airflow capacity. However! When you install these filters, they allow more dust and other pathogens to easily pass through your air handler, which is in direct contact with your condenser (Frame A). When they get into your air handling unit, they end up on the fan motor and inside your heating coils. Eventually, this dust and buildup will cause your fan motor to work harder and build up more heat, leading to unit failure! Trust me I know I've been there, replaced and repaired it numerous times and listened to the pros claiming to use these cheap filters. It seems to me that there is a reason why they want you to use cheap filters so your device needs more maintenance so they have more and more dollars to keep in their pockets. If you install Merv 11, a higher quality filter, they help keep your system clean, but they interfere with your system's fan and can aggravate it and eventually crash your system. That's why I'm so excited about all the research, knowledge and experience I've accumulated and gained over my time that these types of filters are available, these are Merv 8's which are pleated, the pleated feature lets air in easier through , the quality of these filters are long-lasting and do not break so quickly. They do not exceed the strict airflow of my home and prevent large amounts of dust or other pathogens from entering through the ventilation system. I clean my system constantly and make sure to change the filter every 30 or 60 days, although these filters say they last 90 days I don't think it's cheap and easy to change the filter, cleaning the unit and dusting the unit device is easy and free lol. It is better to replace the filter in advance so as not to forget your heating and cooling system and to keep it running for a long time. Because remember I know and you know that you pay a lot to have a new Air system installed in your home! Play it safe and let the system break! It is important not to change the filters!
