Finer flux - easier to install, good filter media!

Installed the first one a week ago, so far so good! I liked them because they were a bit thinner than the ones I bought at Home Depot (I kept shredding the ones trying to push through the metal frame - they were too thick and crumpled along the way). The pleated filter media itself looks better than the others. RECOMMENDED!

Best Fit: Building Materials

Of all the filters I've bought over the years, this is the ONLY one that works best for something that requires a 20" x 20" filter. While the actual size of other filters is 19 1/2" x 19 1/2", unfiltered air will pass through. Measuring 19 3/4" x 19 3/4", these filters filter more air in your home for your money and keep your oven/AC fan motor clean. They have a clear MERV rating mark and an airflow directional arrow. Her strength is almost standard. These filters are also made in the USA.

Quality filter, MERV rating TOO HIGH for Carrier system

Was an old washable hog hair filter that originally came with my Carrier heat pump system for 10 years. I decided to replace the old pig hair with a matching disposable paper filter. I called carrier so they can offer a MERV rating so as not to put too much stress on my system/fan motor etc. Carrier HAD NO IDEA and said to call my local HVAC specialists. My local friend (like me) thought MERV 8 should be fine and not harm my system. The filters arrived today and I did an airflow test through my

Works well and arrives at my doorstep

These filters are true to size and fit perfectly in my ceiling vents. I have to change 5 filters every time and having them shipped to my home in bulk works great. I have found that a MERV of 8 is ideal for most homes. Anything lower won't filter as much, and anything over 8 can make your heating/cooling system too heavy and not as efficient. If anyone else knows, please report. This is just information I have gathered while researching the meaning of MERV. I will buy them in the sizes I need…
