Summary; Poor quality and uncomfortable, it came with scratched letters and brown spots on the bottom (should show in the photo) meaning someone drank from it. Not worth 12-13 dollars for it! Well, the summary says what you need to know, but the details are worth knowing. The "new" mug has arrived so obviously! I mean a faux pas AND poor quality for a mug that costs more than ten bucks? Don't let that fool you, there are similar ones on the site. I've posted photos of the brown part of the bottom which is obviously the mark left by someone drinking from the mug. I bought this for my husband as a Father's Day gift as we have no human children yet (we have three rescued cats and most of my friends call me Kat, his nickname to me is "kitten". Don't come out. I'll try to show the print quality on the mug before scratching off images (I'll add others if I see an option) I don't think I'll ever try to put it in the dishwasher and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because I'm sure it will remove the label; The bottom one simply says they are made in China, no care label means as far as I can tell "hand wash and don't even microwave". Mug of caffeine molecule I bought it from ThinkGeek and at least it wasn't *used* and the glass of the mug was decent quality so I still use it. In any case, thanks to that, I'm more careful now. Well at least the people/persons who used it knew before I got it not to wash it like that. Too bad they didn't wash us at all. Ah. I genuinely love almost everyone and get along/care with people so I hate to say this but it should fire someone. Good workers suffer in this economy, and that goes for every country, so the jobs we give have to be earned. Everyone has bad days, but seriously, who ships mugs that are obviously dirty and scratched?! I am saddened that a company would put this product on the market and continue to sell it in this condition. My guess is that maybe the five star reviews are from lucky people who had a different manufacturer/distributor, or maybe mine is fake or SOMETHING because I have no other explanation for it. That's too much money to spend on a cup. it looks used and rough as the letters are already falling off, i think we can all agree on that. I think everything should get the obligatory lowest rating of one star, so. hmm, for; The design is printed on both sides of the mug and the one I have is scratched in various places on each side so people will at least be able to tell if the thorough hand washing I give makes it worse. together what he says! Ha ha silver lining and all. I *guess* it's also good for left-handed cat owners - those with low standards and too much money. maybe that's it? If such a person exists, I mean. There are no left-handers in my house and we don't have all that much money (although it's doubtful I'll even be able to buy a new mug, and I'm grateful for that and I understand standards may vary), so no. You don't help me much personally. I'm not angry or anything but I'm disappointed and I hope you don't have to be either, so at least now you've been warned that this could happen. with this product.
