The product description indicates that the bowl can hold 1.5 to 3 cups and it definitely cannot! I give my dog 2 cups and that doesn't even fit well into the bowl, let alone 3 cups. Considering that his food is overflowing, since it does not even hold 2 cups, it does not slow him down too much until he gets down to the bottom of it.

- This bowl may not be suitable for larger dogs with bigger appetites or even smaller breeds with voracious appetites as they may require more food than the bowl's capacity
