I know a lot of people will think I just don't know how to do this, but as Savannah Alberti pointed out in the review, I wish I had read this first. The diameter of the pipe is actually *the same* for the two large pieces and they don't fit together as stated in the instructions. I don't know if they mixed up and installed two identical parts, but I doubt it because one has specific hardware for the top and the other doesn't. In any case, assembly without modification is not possible. maybe a dowel that sits in both. Not sure if this will work. It also has little green fibers that are everywhere. I mean why choose an artificial tree when it will fall down anyway? Terrible shopping choices. Please don't waste your time like me.
