Review on Seapora 52115 Full Aquarium Light by Tina Peterson

Received the hood light regularly and excellently within 2 days from Revain. The item was packaged and intact. The cut outs for my filter and heater were easy to make and the lid covers the entire tank. The lighting is bright, characteristic of LED lighting, somewhat flat and not as warm as fluorescent lighting. The addition of "moonlight" is quite nice, as long as you remember to turn off the lights at night. The construction makes a pretty solid impression. I noticed that the top opening lid is deformed, which usually indicates the quality of the plastic. Deformation causes light to leak out of the left seam when the lid is closed. Not a performance-impairing defect, but annoyingly bright coming from the top of the tank. It will be interesting to see whether the electronics will withstand the constant exposure to moisture. One suggestion would be to use some full spectrum LEDs like grow lights. This can add some warmth and create the effect of more natural sunlight. Otherwise a good product if you want to replace an old fully enclosed cooker hood.
