I've been doing this for years. That works great. HOW THIS PILLOW CHANGES THINGS For one, this pillow purifies the water better at first. The downside to this is that you will need to clean the filter more frequently when you put this pad on as the filtered material builds up due to the limited flow. IS IT EASY TO CLEAN? I just rinse it out when I clean the filter. and then replace it and have more time with it. So far he's fine. BOTTOM This will add a little more filtration capacity to the filter, but you'll need to clean it a little more often. MY RATES ARE FIVE STARS. I like to have it on hand.
