Glad it came so quickly but NO DIRECTIONS. There is no common sense in using these two separate devices. I had an old quart marinade jar with a lid circumference of over 4 inches. I couldn't figure out the long newbie until I just queued back up to see the instructions posted on this page. Why couldn't the seller include a copy of the instructions with the bottle opener? In desperation, I used a butter knife to dig out the dents I'd previously made when banging on the lid to open it. I thought I must have hit it too hard and now nothing works. After the 3rd dent was resolved, the whole cover fell off. I wish I had tried it before buying this device. Now I have this for my arthritic hands for the future.
