First of all. Once it works, it's amazing. Does exactly what it says. RO is some water up to 0 TDS. It's fairly compact and manages 50 gallons per day as advertised. I set everything up in my basement with no faucet in about 45 minutes. Connection like a normal hose. You may need a Y-connector if you plan to use a faucet or running water elsewhere. I was lucky and I had another one outside. Gotta get another one next year. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was air tested before shipping so it won't leak when you plug the water in. Well, it definitely wasn't mine. I would understand if one of the fittings or hoses came loose and just reattach it, but that wasn't the case. The entire top of the 3rd filter tube was not rotated fully. Large amounts of water leak out at once. So I had to remove quite a bit of tubing to get the wrench (which was included) to tighten it all the way. There is no way that this could have happened during transport, the pipes would have twisted or something. Still a great filter! For those using this for the aquarium. My water starts at around pH 7.8 after the RO drops to 7.0. Run TDS 125 on 1 or zero. Definitely helps if your tap water has a high pH or too many dissolved solids. A quick reminder that not everyone needs to drink water without dissolved solids. It is often helpful to drink mineral water. Drinking this water tastes fresh/rough. I would only use this for drinking water if you have other chemicals in the tap water that are bad for you.
