I fitted this carrier to my car today and am very impressed. I have a Honda Civic 06, everything is fine. You have to adjust the levers and at first I thought I was struggling because I didn't feel like I could fold them up like you should and they still fit in the car but I did fine. My (women's) bike stayed very stable - let's say I just rode up and down my street just to make sure everything was fine - but it didn't bounce at all. In addition, the straps are very strong and there is a long strap just for attaching bikes, so you don't need a separate bungee. After adjusting the armrests, I wanted them to stay that way, so while it does fit in my trunk when folded, I'm glad I can fit it there without folding. I highly recommend this stand. Update - I've used this rack twice and cycled it back and forth for an hour. There were no problems with him at all. The bikes remain very solid and don't rock at all. It's easy to put on and take off and doesn't take up much space in the trunk even if I don't fold it up. I cannot recommend this shelf enough!
