I bought this small backpack as a travel bag. It was perfect! All the compartments allowed me to separate my stuff and make it easier to access. I was able to take my phone, wallet and camera along with all my personal belongings. The backpack can be carried by the strap, on one shoulder or as a backpack. While visiting the memorial we put a water bottle in one of the outside compartments and it fit perfectly. The outside pockets are elastic and I found they hold my lipsticks in place without falling out. I am so very happy with this purchase! The only downside is that the clips on the straps move slightly which means you have to reset them. My solution was to simply wear it over one shoulder by the straps. I couldn't have asked for anything better for the trip.
