This is just what I need to step down the 48v battery in my golf cart to a usable 12v for lights and radio. I have a custom golf cart and wanted to add some extra lights but everything is 12v and it's very hard to find anything for 48v. It's nice, small and fits very well in the battery compartment. I don't think I'll ever hit the 40A limit, but it's nice to know that I have enough power available to add other things like an inverter for a laptop charger or anything else that can handle 120 -V-household food would require.
