On my last multi-day trip to Big Sur, I wasn't able to accurately record the ascent. On the first day I overestimated the altitude difference by 20% on a given route. After synchronization, the elevation data was corrected to the correct number. The second day with no route underestimated the increase in incline (on Komoot) by 50% (you read that right). Worse still, when syncing, the same number stayed. The elevation profile looks like steps that look like Lego mountains, not smooth curves. The third day turned on the satellite plus GPS. Estimate is 30% lower than actual. Other: (1). It is difficult to find a synchronized route at the beginning of a journey; (2). Syncing takes a long time after the ride ends. All in all, don't buy it.
