Description of 🚴 Optimized for SEO: Garmin Edge 130 Plus GPS Cycling/Bike Computer with Downloadable Structure Workouts, ClimbPro Pacing Guidance, and More (010-02385-00)

Simplified, rugged design with 1.8” display that’s crisp and easy to read in sunlight or low-light conditions. Get training guidance by syncing structured indoor or outdoor workouts to your device from the Garmin Connect app or other apps, including TrainingPeaks and TrainerRoad. Improve your fitness with dynamic performance insights such as VO2 max and heart rate (when paired with a compatible heart rate monitor), and manage your efforts during tough ascents with the ClimbPro feature. Know where you’ve been, where you’re headed and how to get back to start with turn prompts and a breadcrumb map. Cycling awareness features give loved ones peace of mind; get incident detection and assistance — which both send your real-time location to emergency contacts (when paired with a compatible heart rate monitor). Know how far, fast, hard and high you’ve ridden with data from GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellites and an altimeter. Track jump count, jump distance and hang time with mountain bike dynamics. Train when and where you want, thanks to compatibility with Tacx indoor trainers (coming soon). Battery life (Battery life may vary depending on usage): up to 12 hours.

Great base unit - GPS, finder and accessories

Pretty great overall. I had Lezyne before and I have to say that this one is much more comfortable to use and sync. I might want to customize my phone's screens and have it auto-circle based on a specific location, but those are minor changes and may not be included in the price of this release. Overall, it has most of the key features I need without dwelling on complexity. I love that it comes with two sets of bike mounts as I have a mountain bike and a road bike. I'll buy another one when I…

  • So-so

Worst digital device ever

On my last multi-day trip to Big Sur, I wasn't able to accurately record the ascent. On the first day I overestimated the altitude difference by 20% on a given route. After synchronization, the elevation data was corrected to the correct number. The second day with no route underestimated the increase in incline (on Komoot) by 50% (you read that right). Worse still, when syncing, the same number stayed. The elevation profile looks like steps that look like Lego mountains, not smooth curves. The

Great little computer!

a lot of money for a bike and other gear. So, judging by the reviews, this is a good budget option. I would have to agree! I also have Garmin speed and cadence sensors. It connected to both with no problems. It also connected easily to my Polar HR 10. Everything seems to be tracking very well and I automatically send all my data to Strava. The only annoying thing is that my friend also has a 130 and sensors and they keep asking to connect to each other's sensors and monitors when we're getting…

All I need is a small, inexpensive package

I ride my mountain bike 4-5 days a week and I want to see my heart rate rhythm and some other data , while I skate. This computer can do everything I need and some things I don't need. Searching the app, I found something I wasn't expecting. Like my calculated VO2max, jump speed in the air, time and distance. I'm not sure if it's very accurate remotely. My guess is that it uses an excerrometer to calculate when your tires take off and when they land. The speed is correct in my experience. The…

Great for MTB for GPS bike computer

This is my first bike computer with GPS. The small size is perfect. Attaches very securely to my 35mm handlebars. I use the handlebar mount that came with it. No movements and hits when driving on a track. The display is very easy to read with the various display settings available. When used with the Garmin Connect app, you'll get a wealth of stats about the ride you've just completed. Color Maps, a color map of what you just rode, not just the routes, but what you actually rode. It will show…

Very poor battery life, poorly thought out features

Battery life is no more than 6 hours on recording, barely enough for normal travel when you forget to charge it and there's no chance - or get all day. The battery doesn't last long even when it's turned off, so you'll have to keep it connected to the network all the time. Looking through this, I realized that this was a major problem with the original 130 and Garmin did absolutely nothing to fix it. For the 130+ this product deserves 1 star as they still lie about it getting 12 hours which is…

Better than the sum of its parts

I bought a Garmin Edge 130 Plus with HRM strap because I wanted a GPS computer with a heart rate monitor but didn't want to spend as much as I did searched. I would spend on another bike. At first glance, the device may seem small and perhaps a little limited in features, but once the display is set up and the device is synced to Strava and Garmin Connect, it really comes alive with data and functionality. The only item I'm looking at while loading. Trail or uphill is my heart rate, and the…
