Yes, cheap. Plastic connectors make it crooked, and the weight of the boom and mic means it can't be straightened. Luckily I don't need that. It holds the mic perfectly and firmly in the sound hole of my acoustic guitar, costs next to nothing and that's all I really care about. I would even buy another one when it comes time to add a dual mic to the guitar. If you want something nice, don't buy it. When you need something that performs well (e.g. in a home studio) and at a great price, this is your mic stand.
