I bought this for my Canon SL1, which is a small DSLR. It fits snugly in the hot shoe mount and feels very secure. Good materials and workmanship! A very cheap and pleasant purchase. It's not as smooth as a stabilizer, but it shakes a lot less than a camera without it, so yeah, it's very nice to have and it's small/packable (the whole small camera idea). You can still hold the camera and use the viewfinder to take photos while it's still attached to the camera. The best $15 I've spent is quite a long time!
