Review on 🍷 Le Creuset Compact Wine Opener by Joshua Weaver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

thin materials; Failed in 9 months.

Poor quality - thin plastic cuff broke. I had an earlier version for many years and really liked it. This one with the Le Creuset brand broke after 9 months. The pen's collar broke with normal use, opening about 30 bottles in that time. I measured that the plastic collar material is only 0.035" (1/32") thick. At $26, it's too expensive to be made that badly. I photographed the part on my little finger to show the cracked, thin-walled collar. Update: Le Creuset has replaced the wine opener as part of their 5 year guarantee. After my voicemail message to the warranty department, I received a call back and an email to the address I left on my voicemail. After receiving the RMA and sending it to Le Creuset at my expense, I received a new corkscrew within 3 weeks. I added a star because I fulfilled their guarantee.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
