I've been buying silicone paste since I heard about it (and how often it's used) from Eric, a racer. He recommended the 3M brand I had previously bought, but instead I decided to try Mission Automotive lube as it was a few bucks cheaper. The first thing that struck me is that it is definitely the same or better quality compared to the 3M brand. The only thing that bothered me about the 3M brand is that it can be a little clunky, but Mission Automotive's stuff was really smooth. It definitely makes it easier to use. I do a lot of mechanical work myself and also work on some friends' cars. Caliper bolts, grommets, window sills - for most things that stick or squeak, this paste is great. Surprisingly, it's pretty hard to find it in actual quantity at most auto parts stores without paying a tidy sum. I will be back for more from Mission Automotive when my big bottle runs out.
