Review on GoldTone Reusable Basket Coffee Filter by Paul Rogger

We used to have one for our old coffee maker but have been using paper filters again for a while. I wanted to go back to reusable filters so I bought this one. I didn't realize the base is hard, meaning it drains too slowly. We ended up with a ton of coffee grounds in our coffee as it floated over and around the filter when full. Buy one with a mesh bottom to (hopefully) alleviate this problem. I've found that making just 4 scoops of coffee seems to help, but we usually make 5 scoops (which don't even fill the filter halfway, so it's not like we're overflowing!). May be ok if you normally make weaker or small coffee pots.
