Amazingly efficient

I have to admit I was very surprised when I received this filter and saw that the bottom is made entirely of plastic. I used to have similar reusable gold filters and they were mesh on the bottom (as well as the sides). Because this new filter was constructed differently, I wasn't sure if it would affect the flavor of my coffee. Now that I've used it several times, the coffee tastes very good. Cleaning is also easier than my previous filters. I can recommend this coffee filter.

This is a coffee filter that can be used more than once.

My previous permanent filter lasted over 10 years. There will be no luck for the last 1. The handle has already broken off and it doesn't fit well on my coffee maker, I have to squeeze it back together. It's already starting to lose its vertical strength and flex. I thought the bottom of the filter was also the screen material, but it wasn't. Bottom line, I'm just disappointed in them. Note: 8 days later the seller has not responded to my comment or any other 1 star comments. talks about a lot.

Poor drainage in coffee and espresso machines Parts and accessories

We used to have one for our old coffee maker but have been using paper filters again for a while. I wanted to go back to reusable filters so I bought this one. I didn't realize the base is hard, meaning it drains too slowly. We ended up with a ton of coffee grounds in our coffee as it floated over and around the filter when full. Buy one with a mesh bottom to (hopefully) alleviate this problem. I've found that making just 4 scoops of coffee seems to help, but we usually make 5 scoops (which…

Great Strainer Filter: Coffee Maker Accessory

Came in the mail today and was waiting for me when I got home from work. Unpacked and in perfect condition. I washed it and put the Black and Decker in my coffee maker. The fit was perfect. Not tight or loose. I made my own mug of cocoa (yes, cocoa, not coffee) from ground French roasted cocoa beans, and it came out perfect. I have a personal coffee maker with a strainer which I used and made the perfect cocoa, but my husband wanted to start drinking too so I had to use our 8-12 cup coffee…

WASTE OF MONEY! ATTENTION TO THE BUYER!

Ordered with a new coffee pot and received on 01/29/2019, not used for about two weeks. Use 1-2 times a day for 3 1/2 weeks until last Thursday 03.07.19. Started brewing coffee and noticed three cracks in the bottom of the plastic base radiating out from the center as seen in the photos which would have filtered out the coffee grounds. straight to the coffee pot. Yuk. I emailed the seller Teklectric (TM) Kitchen and Home a week ago with no response regarding the exchange. 3 1/2 weeks usage for…

Works well because it fits in my coffee pot

This filter is easy to clean and looks like it will last. I use it with the Hamilton Beach 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker - Model 46290. It fits perfectly and works great, making 4 "cups" (using the scale on the carafe where the "cup" is only 6 ounces) of coffee without Grind. ready coffee. I grind my coffee to look like coarse cornmeal (no powder that will clog the filter and cause overflow), use about 10-12t, and after brewing the soaked ground expands to about 1.5 inches from the top of…

Overflow problems solved, great taste, no coffee grounds problems

Summary: The first photo shows the filter basket right after brewing. I've used it maybe a few dozen times and it hasn't clogged or overflowed. Perfect. The second photo shows the bottom of the coffee pot. You will see some "dusty" particles. This is not crunchy coffee grounds, but very small particles. They look disconcerting, but I don't feel them in my mouth - at least I find they add a nice nutty depth to the coffee. Nothing clogs - it's easy to rinse. I drink a cup of coffee every day…
