They are excellent for high speed polishing of aluminum rims.
I had a set of vintage Pontiac Snowflake wheels that I restored. After 3 grades of sandpaper they had to be polished with a paste and the car buffer couldn't cope. I ordered them and they did the job. They immediately dropped some stuff when I started using them, so take them outside first or you'll have a mess. However, they did their job and my bikes look fantastic.
