So you should know what to expect. The volume has a decent range and the sound quality is good. However... the woofer doesn't really bring out much bass. At least not a low level. In my opinion more of a mid-high speaker. NO BASS CONTROL, just a volume control, which is kind of a warning sign. I have regular $30 speakers that sound as good (or better) than these. That's not to say they're not good for a budget system, just don't expect booming bass.
