Speakers sound great! I use them in my work truck. The only thing is that one of the speakers died on the first day. No problem keeping them and loving the sound!

The volume is not what I expected as the description says "loud". They have a certain volume, but I don't find the volume to be loud. Hence I deducted a star. In addition, these speakers look very cool (the cones light up) and the sound quality is pleasant. Good bass, good highs and mids. So I'm satisfied with the sound quality of these speakers. I am happy with these speakers. I give them 4 stars!

So you should know what to expect. The volume has a decent range and the sound quality is good. However... the woofer doesn't really bring out much bass. At least not a low level. In my opinion more of a mid-high speaker. NO BASS CONTROL, just a volume control, which is kind of a warning sign. I have regular $30 speakers that sound as good (or better) than these. That's not to say they're not good for a budget system, just don't expect booming bass.

This is a huge improvement over built in monitor speakers. However, don't expect Bose-quality sound from speakers that cost half the price. The sound quality is really good for the size and price, and they don't distort too much at higher volumes. RGB backlighting is cool, especially for gamers. There really is a techno vibe. The only downside is the fact that the volume levels aren't quite what I would expect from a standalone subwoofer. It looks like it sounds louder than it actually is.

I just received these 2.1 computer speakers for my friend's 16 year old boy. I tested them on my computer to see how they sound. First, the cables are too short, put the subwoofer on the floor and the satellite speakers next to the monitor, so everything should be on the table or, if you have a tower on the floor, on the floor. All the control knobs/knobs are on the subwoofer so it is difficult to change them even if you put the subwoofer on the floor. I used to have a 400w 2.1 computer speaker

The satisfaction here depends a lot on what you compare it to. A pair of 15 year old Advent computers I had in my study had a noticeable lack of bass register. Thing is, I noticed this walking out of my office, which was running a Logitech surround sound system. As the Advents didn't have a subwoofer this wasn't too surprising and I thought these Smalody would certainly be a significant upgrade.
