The satisfaction here depends a lot on what you compare it to. A pair of 15 year old Advent computers I had in my study had a noticeable lack of bass register. Thing is, I noticed this walking out of my office, which was running a Logitech surround sound system. As the Advents didn't have a subwoofer this wasn't too surprising and I thought these Smalody would certainly be a significant upgrade. Well, they're better than the old speakers, but not even close to the best. They undoubtedly cost half the price, so it would be unfair to think they can keep up with the times. On the other hand, no, there is no such thing as "booming sound and heavy loud bass for premium sound". These are ordinary mid-range computer speakers. They offer a comfortable listening experience in a relaxed environment, for example when you are doing something other than concentrating on the music. There are some nice features here, like four source options (Bluetooth, Line, USB, microSD). It doesn't come with a power option. You should find a USB 2.0 outlet/block to provide power. You can view this as an asset or a liability depending on your personal situation. Depending on the source you choose, there are some differences. I found better audio quality over Bluetooth than line-in, despite using the same line-in source as Logitech. Eventually I may break them to try and get to the crossover as too many high frequencies go to the subwoofer. Even with the satellites spaced as far apart as possible (about 6 feet), stereo separation is very poor with too much coming from the center subwoofer. It's equal if not louder than the satellites. I'm not sure what the tongue coming out of the corners on the satellites is for. I'm assuming the looks like the fake piezo tweeter is just molded plastic, no speaker at all. Pretty good speakers with good connectivity. Buy based on price and possibly connectivity. 3 for sound quality, 5 for connectivity, up to 4 on average.
