Review on 🔥 Performance Ceramic Brake Pad - Hawk HB649Z.605 by Lagant Wardrick

I found these brake pads on the Jeep SRT forum and after reading the reviews and reviews I decided to give it a try. I asked my local Jeep dealer to install them on my 2014 SRT. After the installation was complete, I received a call from the service representative who said his technician said the new pads "squeaked like a school bus". For example, clean the brake pads and discs with a strong brake dust cleaner, grind the discs with fine sandpaper or lap the brakes. Most reviews seemed to point to proper lapping of the brake pads. And sure enough, as I started driving away from the dealership, these things started squeaking like a rusty old bus! The screeching actually came when I wasn't braking. The noise stopped when the brake was applied. I pulled onto a private road and just started lapping the brake pads. Drive at 35 mph and make a moderate stop. Do this 4 or 5 times. Then accelerate to 45-50 mph and PUSH THE BRAKES! Serious. Turn on the ABS for a while and your tires will screech to a stop. Do this about 3 more times. If you can't smell the brake pads burning some of that ceramic, you're doing something wrong! Guess what? Lapping the brake pads eliminated the squeak. Since then I've never had any problems. The only reason I give them 5 stars is that they don't compress as fast as the original pads. But the trade-off is that they produce about 75% LESS brake dust. And you avoid sudden stops that Brembo SRT brakes can cause. All in all I would choose them again but if there is anything that brakes as well as the OEMs and emits as much brake dust as they do I would still go for them!
