I recommend ordering one size up. The shoes are quite narrow, especially if your child has wide feet. Luckily we received the shoes a week before my son had to wear them. So I took whatever the shoes came with, stuffed the plastic and shoe tree into the shoes and left them there for the whole week. This method worked and my son was able to put the shoes on without any problems. Otherwise it is a very stylish shoe. My son wore it to his wedding and got so many compliments.
